Furry Funville — Branding

Concept
Researching Furry Funville's brand allowed for the discovery of their values. They take the safety of every animal seriously, while allowing for a fun and sociable environment for dogs.
They offer dog and cat grooming services, doggy daycare, and dog and cat boarding. They provide a large outdoor space for dogs, as well as an indoor play area. In order to keep each dog's safety a priority, they evaluate each one and group them together accordingly, while staying monitored by a staff member.
Development
While developing the chosen sketch for the final design, it was decided to create a slightly imperfect vector illustration for the iconic portion. This would add to the playfulness of their services, and create a more friendly, approachable visual brand. This is further supported by the simplified furry texture of the fur, and cartoonish facial features. The curved jumping movement of the dog was exaggerated to evoke the sense of play for dogs enrolled in their programs.
Outcome
When creating this redesign, I learned how to take an existing brand and enhance its visual aids to further communicate its values. With consistent branding in mind, this project allowed me to see each step in the process of creating a brand — from researching the client's values and practices to creating mockups to represent its value to the client.
