Concept
When researching DIVA’s brand, it was critical to reach out to their users through tones of confidence and personal health knowledge. The key to a successful product launch would incorporate their empowering branding. The aim of this product was to allow for a menstrual cycle product to give women insights on their health in a convenient way with ease of use.
Development
By slightly altering the form of the menstrual cup, it becomes more user-friendly for both beginners and users with dexterity issues. Additional grips and a pull ring make insertion and removal easier processes. With a compact travel case, the menstrual cup can be placed in a purse or backpack keeping the device clean, discreet, and acting as a wireless charging receptacle. Allowing for real-time updates on the user’s menstrual cycle, STD and STI testing, pregnancy testing and hormone levels, this menstrual cup gives women insights on their health at the tips of their fingers.
Outcome
With customizable health tracking features, the DIVA Sense application communicates smoothly with the DIVA Sense menstrual cup to suit every woman’s menstrual health needs. By promoting confidence and healthcare, women will be able to take control of their menstrual health like never before.
This educational project was done in a group with other students. My responsibilities included curating business and user goals, a user statement, biological diagram illustrations, app flow diagram, hormone tracking app screens and app usability testing.
Product mockups were created using Ai software through sketches used as prompts — as permitted by the instructor due to time and technology constraints.
